Greetings everyone,
I hope you are enjoying your summers. I want to thank everyone who attended the Thank you Dinner on June 19th. It was a fun intimate event with good laughter and music involved.
As mentioned in the Thank you Dinner, every month I hope to write monthly updates to you and hopefully enhance communication between all of us. I am pleased to announce that starting Thursday July 15 we will begin the enrollment period for all of our programs. We will enroll
Thursdays and Fridays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
I honestly do not know how many students we can accept nor have placed a capacity limit as of yet. I will be awaiting to hear what the Diocese of Brooklyn has to say in regards to our plans with the in person programs.
One of the deciding factors going into this decision is the amount of Catechists and other volunteers willing to be on board with us the following year. I need your help in making the best informed decision. Catechists who choose to comeback to the program should attend the next Catechist Meeting in July 28th. Catechists who are away on this date and would like to comeback still should let me know ahead of time to figure out other arrangements. In the Catechist meeting we will begin to start getting a feel of where you will be placed and you will have first priority in picking your class and room
I will be hosting an Information Session, August 4th for new volunteers and catechists who took time off and would like to return to the ministry. This meeting will be a collection of data, getting them set up with VIRTUS, and going over expectations with the program.
A larger meeting will take place in August 25th to finalize the details with experienced and new catechists and hopefully if not already done so given you the leaders guides. I will be going over the details of the next meetings in the next briefing.
Here are some important dates for you to keep in mind.
September 19th is the first day for Sunday Classes and September 21st is the first day of Tuesday Classes.
We will have mandatory orientations for students and parents the week before where we hope to give them an opportunity to meet you and have things ready for the first day of classes.
There will be a meeting for Catechists Wednesday July 28th at 7:30 PM in Msgr. Barretta Hall. I will be emailing you the agenda soon.

Hola a todos,
Yo espero que todos estén disfrutando sus veranos. Gracias a todos quienes atendieron la cena de agradecimiento el 19 de Junio. Fue un evento divertido e íntimo con mucha risa y buena música.
Como yo mencioné en la cena, espero que yo les escriba acá mensualmente como parte de un esfuerzo de mejorar la comunicación con ustedes. Estoy feliz para anunciarles que comenzamos el 15 de Julio para la programa.
Los horarios son cada jueves y viernes de 6 de la tarde hasta las 9 de la noche
Y cada sábado de 12 de la tarde hasta las 4 de la tarde.
Sinceramente, no estamos seguros de cuantos estudiantes podremos a recibir este año. Yo sigo esperando noticias de la Diócesis de Brooklyn para finalizar los detalles sobre la programa presenciales.
Uno de los factores decisivos a la hora de tomar esta decisión es la cantidad de catequistas y otros voluntarios dispuestos a participar con nosotros el año siguiente. Necesito su ayuda para tomar la mejor decisión informada. Los catequistas que decidan regresar al programa deben asistir a la próxima reunión de catequistas el 28 de julio. Los catequistas que están ausentes en esta fecha y les gustaría regresar aún deben avisarme con anticipación para resolver otros arreglos. En la reunión del catequista, comenzaremos a tener una idea de dónde se le colocará y tendrá la primera prioridad al elegir su clase.
Seré el anfitrión de una Sesión de Información el 4 de agosto para nuevos voluntarios y catequistas que se tomaron un tiempo libre y quisieran regresar al ministerio. Esta reunión será una recopilación de datos, que los configurará con VIRTUS y superará las expectativas con el programa.
Se llevará a cabo una reunión más grande el 25 de agosto para ultimar los detalles con catequistas nuevos y experimentados y, con suerte, si aún no lo ha hecho, le dará las guías para los líderes. Revisaré los detalles de las próximas reuniones en la siguiente sesión informativa.
Aquí hay algunas fechas importantes que debe tener en cuenta.
El 19 de septiembre es el primer día de clases dominicales y el 21 de septiembre es el primer día de clases los martes.
Tendremos orientaciones obligatorias para estudiantes y padres la semana anterior donde esperamos darnos la oportunidad de conocerte y tener las cosas listas para el primer día de clases.
Habrá una reunión para Catequistas el miércoles 28 de julio a las 7:30 PM en Mons. Salón Barretta. Pronto les enviaré la agenda por correo electrónico.
