Catechist / Catequista

Teach and evangelize — Enseñar y evangelizar

• The heart of the program — these volunteers educate students on a weekly basis. Catechists should have their hearts in the right place and enjoy spreading the Good News to the students. El corazón del programa: estos voluntarios educan a los estudiantes semanalmente; deben tener un corazón recto y disfrutar evangelizando el Evangelio a los estudiantes.

You’ll help by:

• Leading weekly faith formation classes

• Preparing engaging lessons using parish-provided materials

• Guiding students in prayer and scripture reflection

• Encouraging participation and spiritual growth

• Attending catechist meetings and training sessions

Catechist Assistant / Asistente de Catequista

Support and assist classroom activities — Apoyar y asistir en las actividades del aula

• Catechists cannot do all the work alone in the classroom. Catechist Assistants help create an organized, welcoming learning environment. Los catequistas no pueden hacer todo el trabajo solos en el salón de clase. Los Asistentes de Catequista ayudan a crear un ambiente de aprendizaje organizado y acogedor.

You’ll help by:

• Collecting Mass cards and recording attendance

• Assisting with classroom setup and cleanup

• Helping students stay on task and feel included

• Supporting the catechist with lesson materials and activities

• Serving as a positive role model of faith and service

Envelope Counting / Contando Sobres

Help us track Mass attendance — Ayúdenos a registrar la asistencia a la misa

• Help organize and record weekly envelopes submitted by students and families. Ayude a organizar y registrar los sobres semanales entregados por los estudiantes y las familias.

You’ll help by:

• Sorting and counting Mass attendance envelopes

• Entering attendance data digitally into our parish system

• Maintaining accurate records each week

• Assisting with simple administrative tasks

Attendance Trackers / Seguimiento de Asistencia

Keep our records up to date — Mantener nuestros registros al día

These volunteers ensure our programs stay organized and accountable.

You’ll help by:

• Digitally tracking program attendance

• Verifying data accuracy

• Supporting the administrative team during class days

• Helping identify students who may need follow-up

Front Desk / Recepción

Support the day-to-day operations — Apoyar las operaciones diarias

• The “back of the house” team brings to life the day-to-day operations and supports the Director by welcoming families, opening the building, and providing logistical support.
  Los voluntarios que ayudan día a día y apoyan al Director en la apertura del edificio, recibiendo a las familias, estudiantes y apoyan a los catequistas.

You’ll help by:

• Greeting families and students as they arrive

• Answering questions and directing visitors

• Supporting the Director and catechists with schedules or materials

• Opening and preparing the building for class sessions

• Creating a warm and organized environment for everyone
